Uncover a world of fantasy wildlife in the mysterious Ephemeral, and decipher long-forgotten potion recipes through an unreadable Codex. Deduce the abilities of each plant through turn-based combat in a visual novel made with RenPy.

Kari has resigned herself to a quiet life on the outskirts of town, stuck with the same generic potion recipes she and every other apothecary knows. Business is slow, but steady, even though her shop is stationed right next to a Blooming; as long as she doesn't stray too far from the paved roads, everything will be fine.

But when she discovers a strange Codex with lost formulas in it, she must decide whether the risk it takes to obtain the ingredients necessary is worth the reward.

Codex Ephemera is a visual novel with turn based combat, story, and puzzle elements. Play as Kari to explore the vast Bloomings of the Ephemeral, encountering unique flora and wild fauna. Once through the Blooming, you must return to the apothecary with your gathered materials and cross-reference your notes to decipher the Codex's ancient recipes—and eventually, create your own.
